  • What is the added value of a transcription ..?

What is the added value of a transcription ..?

I've got a three-part goal in making and publishing transcriptions:

  • evoke interest in and stimulation of the making of transcriptions
  • making available (and discuss) of transcriptions
  • provide clear info on the vocalgroups

So why would you transcribe?

  • a cappella harmonies are hauntingly beautiful!
  • why does an arranger chose for that specific chord at that time?
  • why does one group sound so homogeneous, while the other does not?
  • I want to know how those fantastic chords are built, and if I could use them in my arrangements!

These are just a few reasons to trigger the creation of the ‘engine room' in which we eventually can ‘take a peek'.

Beware!
I want to emphasize the learning aspect. It is not permitted to perform the transcriptions publicly - for reasons of copyright!!
